ART EDUCATION TOOLKIT

As a future art educator, I am in the process of shaping my educational philosophy around social justice and antiracism. My goal is to develop a critical multicultural teaching practice that identifies power and privilege, challenges cultural stereotypes, and acknowledges systemic racism in our society.

Ideally, my classroom will be a place where students can share their own personal stories, strengths, and aspirations—a place where they can reflect on important issues, question injustices, and make meaning for themselves—while making art!

With this in mind, I have created a Toolkit of resources to help me, and fellow educators, enact a transformative teaching practice.

Please click below to learn more about my teaching philosophy, view a unit plan about Community, to view my Pinterest Toolkit.
